Delivery Driver

We are currently looking for a Delivery Driver to join us in our Clio store.
PURPOSE
Responsible for delivering parts and accessories directly to customers or to drop off boxes. Also has parts stocking duties and contributes to overall organization of the parts department. Responsible for picking up and delivering new equipment or equipment needing repairs to/from customers.
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Parts Delivery:
- Prepares for daily deliveries by pulling parts and loading for the day. Delivers parts to the customers or to drop off boxes, as required.
Equipment Delivery:
- Transports equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities
- Maintains records of pickup and deliveries, and obtains necessary signatures and receipts
- Maintains all required certifications in accordance with DOT
- Assists customers in the safe and proper usage of equipment and recommended additional equipment and supplies to help them perform each task more efficiently
Parts Warehouse:
- Assists with any parts stocking or various departmental tasks, as needed
General Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required in the pickup and delivery process. Regularly cleans and properly maintains company vehicle as to protect company assets and to represent Quality Equipment professionally
- Markets parts and service sales through special parts promotions, Quality Assurance packages, extended warranties, and machine inspections when interacting with customers.
- Provides feedback regarding customer issues or complaints, pricing and promotions of competitors that is gathered from customer interactions.
- Follows safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments. Follow safety procedures for loading and unloading equipment
- Ensures proper tie down and transport of equipment without damage
- Always conducts self so as to be an ambassador of the dealership
- Follows safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments
- Other duties as required, for overall location functionality
- Any other tasks as requested by supervisor
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ year(s) experience as a pickup and delivery driver
- Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in pickup and delivery process
- Basic computer skills (data entry/keyboarding skills)
- Must be effective at time management
- Basic parts and machinery knowledge
- Ability to work in a team environment
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Must maintain insurable driving record with the State
- Must be able to pull and back truck/trailer combination at acceptable levels
- Must be able to communicate effectively and positively with customers & dealership personnel as an ambassador for dealership.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Noise Levels: High
- Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Mobility: Squatting, bending, climbing, lifting, reaching, twisting, standing and sitting for long durations.
- Visual: Working with PC, manuals, and close detailed work.
- Driving: Daily – short and long distances.
- Work Environment: Exposure to extreme weather, fumes, airborne particles and moving mechanical parts.
- Dexterity: Ability to grasp and manipulate tools and parts.
