We are currently looking for a Precision Ag Field Pro to join us in our Washington store.
PURPOSE:
Provides agronomic solutions and support for the sale and use of John Deere Agriculture Management Solutions (AMS) equipment. Works with all dealership departments to sell and support precision farming products to producers in their trade area.
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBITIES:
Profiles customer’s machines, vehicles and demographic information
- Participates in product presentations at customer clinics, pre-Expo Meetings, John Deere Days and meetings held outside the dealership
- Assists the Sales department with after sales calls to ensure equipment operates to the customer’s satisfaction
- Provides technical support where applicable while successfully tracking billable time.
- Provides leadership across the organization for the sale of Precision Farming Products offered through John Deere
- Creates and executes a John Deere Agriculture Management Solutions (AMS) Marketing Plan for assigned area including Engaged Acre Strategy as it is delivered from ISM.
- Develops and delivers employee training for AMS products
- Manages the adoption of new technology and product offerings
- Manages dealership inventory processes for AMS products, customer follow-up processes, and customer satisfaction issues related to product line.
- Provides support for advanced customer training (including desktop software products) offered through John Deere
- Identifies and leads training opportunities for customer education programs involving AMS and host product solutions
- Serves as the internal and external dealership technical specialist relative to the entire AMS product line
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of experience in an agricultural-related role with activities such as sales, service, training, or other related work. Prior experience with JD technology and support is preferred or similar customer support role.
- Certified Crop Advisor accreditation or ability to achieve within 18 months of hire date.
- Extremely organized, sensitive to deadlines and goals within dealership.
- Must be driven to achieve results, highly attentive to detail and accuracy.
- Solid communication skills. Can deal with and effectively resolve challenging customer issues.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Noise Levels: Medium to High.
- Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Mobility: Squatting, bending, climbing, lifting, reaching, twisting, standing, sitting and repetitive keyboarding for long durations of time.
- Visual: Working with PC, online content, manuals and close detailed work
- Work Environment: Exposure to extreme weather, fumes, airborne particles and moving mechanical parts
- Dexterity: Ability to grasp and manipulate tools, equipment and machines.
